All our academic programmes have built-in Practical Integrated Components (also known as Students’ Internship Programme) which aims at empowering our students with requisite practical and entrepreneurial skills. In collaboration with Kessben Group of Companies, including Multicredit Bank and Kessben Media, our students are comfortably placed for practical attachment during the long vacations.
Kessben University College is an international tertiary institution that draws a large number of students from diverse backgrounds which enable our students to develop different perspectives of the world by studying alongside personalities with a wide range of experiences.
General Entry Requirements
- WASSCE/SSSCE Holders who have credits (A1-C6/ A-D respectively) in the following Three (3) Core Subjects: English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science plus credits (A1-C6) in Three Elective Subjects with an Aggregate Score of 36 or better in the relevant areas of study.
OR - GENERAL BUSINESS CERTIFICATE (GBCE) Holders who possess passes in three compulsory Subjects including English Language and passes in any Three Elective Subjects including Business Mathematics.
OR - ADVANCED LEVEL Holders with credits in at least Five (5) subjects at the GCE ‘O’ Level (or its equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics, plus at least two passes in the relevant subjects at the Advanced Level obtained not more than Three (3) years ago.
OR - ADVANCED BUSINESS CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION (ABCE) Holders with passes in Three compulsory Subjects plus three optional subjects relevant to the programme of study, OR Applicants with Stage I of ACCA, ICA, Associate of Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) with credits at WASSCE/SSSCE in Three (3) Core Subjects and Three (3) Elective Subjects or credits at GBCE or ABCE or GCE O’ Level including English Language and Mathematics.
OR - MATURE STUDENTS who have attained the age of 25 years or above at the time of application and have credits in Five (5) GCE ‘O Level subjects including English Language and Mathematics, in addition to passing an Entrance Examination and /or Interview.
OR - HND Holders in addition to the Minimum Entry Requirement at WASSCE/SSSCE or Five (5) GCE O’ Level credits including English Language and Mathematics.
NB: Only students who duly satisfy the entry requirements of their programme of study can be admitted to the College. Any student who falsifies his/her results for admission would be withdrawn immediately it is detected.
Campus Access
Our magnificent, beauteous Kumasi City Campus is located at Adum-Kumasi (Central Business Area), opposite Aseda House in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
Our most stunning Kuntanase Main Campus is located off Lake Bosomtwe Road, Kuntanase-Petransa, Ashanti Region, Ghana. Our location is exceptionally conducive, serene with verdant, natural environment close to the world-famous Lake Bosomtwe.
- From Accra, kindly alight at Ejisu Zongo Junction and pick a Kuntanase-bound Vehicle or drive through Ejisu-Kwaso-Kuntanase.
- From Cape Coast and Obuasi Areas, kindly alight at Asante Bekwai and pick Kuntanase-bound Vehicle or drive through Asante Bekwai- Kofofu-Kuntanase.
- From Kumasi, kindly pick Kuntanase-bound Vehicle from Kejetia, or Atonsu High School Junction or Atonsu-Agogo or Tech Junction or drive through Atonsu-Esesreso-Aputuogya-Jachie-Kuntanase.
Admission
Kessben University College has two (2) admission streams in each Academic Year: September and January. Please, note that only candidates/applicants who duly satisfy the entry requirements, as stipulated by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), for their preferred programmes of study can be admitted to the University College.

Registration
All fresh students, admitted to Kessben University College, are required to register their programmes of study as well as semester courses. Our approachable Registration Officers are available to assist you during the registration processes. Kindly come along with the following documents for the registration:

- Original Copies of Certificates/Result-slips/Transcripts
- Birth Certificates
- National Health Insurance Cards
- Receipts for Tuition and Accommodation Fees
Accommodation
Residing in student accommodation/halls is the most convenient way to immerse and mingle yourself in student life, make friends and stay connected with all that the Kessben University College has to offer.
KUC has three home-away-from-home Residential Halls at the Kuntanase Main Campus, namely,
- K. Appiah Hall;
- Anane Boateng Hall; and
- Dufie Hall.
All our students are provided with beds and mattresses. All fresh students are guaranteed a place in our University’s Halls of Residence in their first year. Students often recognize their halls as the place that they find their friendship groups for the rest of their stay on campus and beyond. Our team of hall tutors is available to students who need advice, guidance and support.
Orientation
Freshers’ Orientation is the opportunity to welcome our cherished fresh students, make friends, explore KUC and get your first insight into the fraternity of Kessben University College. The purpose of the orientation and integration programme is summarized as follows:
- To welcome fresh students and help them adjust and adapt to College life.
- To integrate foreign students into the College Community.
- To explain the registration procedure, matriculation, the grading system and examination regulations, etc.
- To expose them to facilities available at KUC to make college education an enjoyable and a rewarding experience.
- To explain the roles and responsibilities of the student as provided in the SRC constitution.
- To let students know their rights, privileges, obligations and responsibilities in the College.
- To enable students to know their relationship with other departments, sections and units of the College.
- To enable international students familiarize themselves with the College community and other key places outside the College.

Matriculation
Matriculation is the event where a freshman is officially inducted as a student of Kessben University College. A freshman must fulfil all the requirements and obligations the College sets for him/her to be matriculated. Any student who fails to be matriculated without any valid reason will not be accepted as a student of Kessben University College. Notable these obligations and requirements are compulsory Admission, Orientation and Integration, Registration and Medical Examination.

Fees for Fresh Students
Kessben University College has very flexible payment plans for students who cannot pay the balance in full at the start of the semester. Payment of tuition and accommodation fees is by Bankers’ Draft or Direct Deposits into the following Bank Account:

- Transfer of fees can be done in any recognized bank in Ghana
- Please bring along your pay-ion-slip to the University College to go through the registration process.
Medical Examination
All fresh students, who have paid their fees, will be medically examined by University College Appproved Medical Officer.
The medical screening/exercise involves the following:
- completion of medical forms by student
- taking of vital signs by nurses
- x-ray
- laboratory investigations
- physical examination and certification by a Qualified Doctor
Professional Attire/Dress Code/Smart/Decent Casual Wear
KUC prepares its students to succeed in their professional paths or careers from onset on our campuses. We believe that personal and professional grooming should be a habit. Our students are encouraged to shape their professional image throughout their academic journey at KUC. This opportunity to wear professional attire to class and other formal gathering can act as a creative opportunity for many students and give them the ability to show off their uniqueness and personal style. Our students are, therefore, expected to dress in attire that would be worn within a professional setting.
Sports and Recreation
As two-time (2023 & 2024) Champions of ARPUAG (Ashanti Regional Private Universities’ Alliance Games), KUC believes that our students should work hard and play hard too! Sport is a great way not just to keep fit but to make friends and make the most of your time at KUC. With fun and frolic on-campus activities, KUC has sporting and recreational teams representing KUC in various tournaments and games – so there’s something for everyone! Here on-campus, we run several sporting competitions and clubs, including KUC Student League, Volley Ball Team, Basket Ball Team, in a social and fun environment for students of any skill level to participate in. These sports run on a weekly basis or may be played as a single gala day throughout the semester.
