Mr. Stephen Boateng

About the Founder

KC was founded by a renowned and selfless entrepreneur, named Mr. Stephen Boateng popularly known as Kwabena Kesse in 2015 with the name, Kessben College. Mr. Boateng, the Founder and Chancellor of the Kessben College, grew up at North Suntreso in Kumasi where he had his basic education at the Akosa Primary and Middle Schools.  From Middle School, he attended Anglican Secondary School in Kumasi where he obtained an Ordinary Level Certificate.

Subsequently, Mr. Stephen Boateng developed a dream of owning an educational institution in the future.  This desire, culminated into him enrolling at the Fosu Teachers’ Training College after O’ Level. At Fosu Training, he had the opportunity to write the A’ Level Certificate in Government, Mathematics, Economics and General Paper and passed out successfully with flying colours.

After training college, he taught for three years and travelled abroad to seek greener pastures.

Mr. Boateng holds a First Class degree in BA (Hons) Economics and Law and MBA in Finance from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.  He is currently pursuing a degree in Law (LLB) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi.

During the latter parts of 2011, the dream of Mr. Stephen Boateng to own an educational institution became a reality and the ambition was pursued, hence, Kessben College of which he is the sole founder and financier.

Professor Keshaw Singh

About the President

Professor Keshaw Singh is a Professor of Physics. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in 1966 and 1968 respectively from the University of Gorakhpur, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in 1971 from Banaras Hindu University(BHU), India. He was also awarded an Honorary D.Sc. Degree (honoris causa) by Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana in 2002.

Mr. Samuel Osei-Poku

About the Registrar

Office of the Registrar  is headed by the Registrar, Mr. Samuel Osei-Poku, since March 2016. He holds Master of Business Administration (Human Resource Management option, KNUST, 2011-2013), Bachelor of Arts (Sociology and Economics, UCC, 2004-2008), Higher National Diploma (Secretaryship and Management Studies, K-Poly – 1996 -1999) and Certificate in Office Management, GIMPA (2011). He is a proud product of Kumasi Academy (1993-1995). He worked with the Office of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, erstwhile Bonte Gold Mines Ltd., Christian Institute of Accountancy and Technology, and Millennium Villages Project/UNDP. He also worked with one of the private universities in Kumasi as Senior Administrative Assistant from 2009 to 2012 and Assistant Registrar in-charge of Admissions Office, General Administration, Students and Academic Affairs respectively from 2012 to 2016.

The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the College. He is responsible for the day-to-day general administration and management of the College. The Registrar reports to the President of the College. The Registrar’s Office is responsible for the following activities:
