B.Sc. Business Administration (Accounting option)
The B.Sc. Business Administration (Accounting option) programme is ran for both regular (full-time) and weekend (part-time) students. The weekend students are mostly workers with ambition of boosting their careers in the business discipline especially in the accounting field.
The B.Sc. Business Administration (Accounting option) is designed to equip students with requisite skills, expertise and knowledge in accounting, auditing, corporate finance, taxation, commercial law, cost accounting, investment and portfolio management, etc for coherent decision making in the continually changing local and international economic and business environment.
Accounting graduates are employed in private, public and non-governmental organizations and in all branch offices of the said employers; thereby making accounting one of the leading employment creators in the Business Administration discipline. Accounting professionals have the opportunity of rising through the ranks to occupy top positions in revenue agencies, banks, insurance companies, auditing firms and public sector institutions such as Controller and Accountant general Department and Audit Service. Institutions seeking Accounting graduates include; Controller and Accountant General’s Department, Ghana Audit Service, Ghana Revenue Authority, National Health Insurance, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies, Social Security and National Insurance Trust, Teaching Hospitals and District Health institutions as well as financial institutions such as banks, insurance and investments companies, private auditing firms such as KPMG, Price Waterhouse, Coopers Ltd, Ernst and Young, Tertiary institution Finance offices etc.

Aims and Objectives of the Programme
i. To produce graduates with the entrepreneurial spirit in the field of business management with electives that focus on accounting, international business development, entrepreneurship, finance and management information systems;
ii. To produce graduates with the requisite knowledge and skills to fit into work places that require expertise in manufacturing, commerce, teaching and research;
iii. To train graduates capable of offering technical expertise in the formation of corporate re-structuring, financing, data processing and documentation,, business research, quantitative analysis and decision making business enterprises;
iv. To provide consultancy services to industry, commerce as well as public and private institutions.
