Kessben College Chancellor outlines his vision for the school

The Chancellor of University College, Mr. Stephen Boateng — also known as Kwabena Kesse, the Chief Executive of Kessben Group of Companies — said the school is a product of many years’ of success and achievements through hard work.

He listed a number of establishments under his Group of Companies and said it employs over 3,000 Ghanaians within the country and beyond, and this is his contribution to socio-economic development of the country.

He said students of the University College have a waiting job offer and internship in his Group of Companies, and this among others is what makes the school unique compared to the others.

He said the school is determined to roll-out sound academic programmes tailored to meet current economic challenges, and also to bridge academia and industry.

The construction of the Kessben University College came with the building of a police post at a cost GHC 205,000 which has a five-bedroom accommodation with toilet, bath and kitchen for the Ghana Police Service.

Attached to this are three fully-furnished offices, a charge office and a cell; and these were provided as part of its corporate social responsibility and also to help ensure security in Kuntanase, the school host community.

The school has also instituted a yearly scholarship scheme for needy but brilliant students in its host community who wish to further their education with it.
